It was summer of 2020, when I got to first visit the Whitewater Park in Manchester. It is a beautiful sight to look at and even more so to be in company with your close ones. The stones in the park that give shape to the dramatic drops through the river course gives a cool framing to the site... As I was there, I watched many people enjoying the park in different ways; some kayaking, some canoeing, some tubing, some fishing, some chatting, some enjoying the sun, some enjoying exploring the trails... This is a lively space, where one can enjoy their time being close to listening to the waters, being close to the nature.. The ambience reminded me of whitewater rivers from my hometown - gushing their legendary adventures of passing through many different streams and creeks...! This park is indeed a glimpse of Maquoketa's natural beauty...
